How Over 2,342 Mixed Martial
Artists From Around The World
Have Come To Call Me ‘Coach’…

I first started training MMA fighters in 2006.

I was studying BJJ at a local club in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada called Joslin’s.

I’d found out that Jeff Joslin, my BJJ instructor was fighting MMA and had been for a few years.

As a huge MMA fan and recent grad from the Kinesiology program at the University of Waterloo, I saw this as an amazing opportunity to use my knowledge of training for a sport I loved. It sure appealed to me a lot more than training fat ladies at the gym.

So one day after BJJ class, I talked to him about my idea.

It actually took me about a week to talk to him about it. I felt like I was asking a girl on a date!

I was nervous because it’s one thing to train someone for fat loss and a whole other ball game to train a mixed martial arts fighter. Screw up with a fighter and you could get him seriously hurt. That’s some pressure and it’s a responsibility I take very seriously.

I also took that week before talking to him to think about the optimal way to train a fighter. I had pages and pages of notes with my ideas, exercises and programs.

When I finally mustered up the courage, I asked him, “Do you do strength and conditioning right now?”

He told me he’d done it in the past, but wasn’t doing anything currently. Sweet!

He also mentioned a couple of problems he had from previous strength and conditioning workouts, which we’ll discuss at a later time…

We went ahead and I did an initial assessment with him and then I was his strength and conditioning coach. Awesome.

I have to say that Jeff was one of my favourite guys to train, ever.

If you want your coach to take a vested
interest in you, model Jeff:

He always showed his eagerness to learn by asking a lot of questions. He was always ready to push himself to the brink. He was the perfect client.

He’d also report how he was feeling and how he felt the strength and conditioning work we were doing was affecting his MMA performance. I still remember these things because I was so happy that our training was helping him out.

Right away, Jeff said that he was surprised that we’d only need to train twice a week and he was feeling better than when he’d done S&C workouts before because he was less sore. That’s one of the benefits of training “movement patterns” instead of muscles that I explain in detail in the video at the top of the page.

After a month of training, Jeff mentioned
that he could roll over and over and over
and still maintain the same pace.

Obviously improving your endurance is great. But where that really pays off for you as a mixed martial artist is that you’re able to get better training in and more of it, thus dramatically improving your MMA skill set…

The final benefit that I remember was a comment that Jeff relayed to me from his boxing coach, Vito.

Vito said, “Your hooks have a lot more pop. What have you been doing?”

That one brought a smile to my face. 🙂

We’d been doing some exercises that specifically target punching power. After hearing this, I knew they were working.

The first fight Jeff had after training with me was the co-main event for the APEX Welterweight title. In my mind it was the only fight that mattered. Jeff was up against Nuri Shakir, who’d won 7 of his last 8 fights and had fought some tough opponents.

I still remember the tingles up my spine as he made his way to the ring.

I was excited and nervous and full of pride and fear all at the same time.

Despite all the positive feedback from Jeff about his fitness, the true test was now at hand.

Click here to watch the fight with your own eyes, or, they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here’s a few thousand for ya:

I went absolutely nuts!

I was pumped that my friend had just won the belt. And I was pumped that the training methods I’d used worked.

After this fight, Jeff got a call from
Joe Silva to fight in the UFC!

The moment Jeff had been dreaming of forever had finally come true. His UFC fight was also my first time at a live UFC event and it was an amazing experience, to say the least. We’ll talk about that next time…

The other thing that happened as a result of this fight was that other MMA fighters heard about me working with Jeff and wanted me to train them. They wanted what Jeff got

The thing is, I just didn’t have the free time to train them all. But I still wanted to help them.

So I put together a 4 hour seminar that cost $200 each and included a very rough version of the Ultimate MMA Strength and Conditioning Program, which you’ll see below.

Since this very first version, I’ve expanded, updated and improved it and now, it’s been used by over 2,342 guys who fight, train MMA or who just want to train like an MMA fighter to develop well-rounded fitness and a lean, athletic, physique.

The last update I made was in May 2012 and it’s been getting rave reviews. Check out the 2012 version of the Ultimate MMA Strength and Conditioning Program below.

Train smart and THROWDOWN!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can I only workout 2 days per week and still get results?

The Ultimate MMA Strength and Conditioning Program is designed so that you only have to dedicate 2 workouts per week to your strength and conditioning program.

The secret is in the setup. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, has been perfected to work together to increase your strength, power, endurance and cardio.

Every single workout, every single exercise, every single rep you do on this program is for a very specific reason that contributes to the overall continual and rapid results you get from the program.

Simply put, when you learn how to unlock the right methods in the right combination in the right sequence, the strategic, synergistic results are profound. And that’s exactly what the Ultimate MMA Strength and Conditioning program does.

Q: What kind of equipment do I need to follow this program?

All you need to get into top fight shape is basic equipment you’ll find in any gym:

  • Barbell
  • Dumbbells
  • Squat rack
  • Bench for bench pressing
  • Chinup bar
  • Swiss ball

And while medicine balls and cables aren’t absolutely necessary, you will get optimal results if you have access to these as well.

Q: Can I do CrossFit while I’m on the program?

NO. In fact, doing CrossFit while on the program will prevent you from getting optimal results and might even cause an injury because you’ll be in a constant state of neural and muscular overtraining.

While CrossFit is excellent for someone looking to develop a good level of general fitness, but the lack of periodization will stop you from making consistent gains.

Q: Can I follow the program more than once?

Absolutely!

Because the program is based on a periodized template, exercises, reps, rest periods and more change at least every 4 weeks.

That means you can continue to cycle through the 8, 12 or 16 week training templates and continue to make gains, week after week, month after month.

Q: I want to start training right now; will I have to wait for you to ship me all this stuff?

No! The entire program will become immediately available to you via download after your purchase – no shipping fees, no waiting for results – you can start right away!

Q: I’m not an MMA fighter, I just want to train like one. Will this work for me?

First of all, I know why you want to train like a fighter – because they not only have insane levels of strength and conditioning, they also have chiseled, athletic physiques that most guys (and girls) are after.

Although this program is designed specifically for guys who compete, inside the manual I’ll show you exactly what to do if you’re not training MMA at the same time and you can train 3-4 days per week using the program to make up for the time you’re not doing MMA.

Q: I’m not in my 20’s or 30’s, will this program work for someone older like me?

It does, but to prove it to you, why don’t you check out the results that some of these ‘older’ guys have gotten from the Ultimate MMA Strength and Conditioning Program:

VERIFIED ACTUAL EMAIL FROM GARRETT AGE: 40

VERIFIED ACTUAL EMAIL FROM JORGEN AGE: 45

Q: What if it doesn’t work for me?

Then it’s all FREE.

Simply put, if you follow the Ultimate MMA Strength and Conditioning program exactly as outlined in the materials, and do NOT gain more strength, power and endurance than you ever have previously, just contact me and I’ll refund your money. It’s that simple.

I stand behind my program as the best MMA strength and conditioning program ever created, and if doesn’t yield those results for you when followed, you get your money back. No hassles, no hoops to jump through, just a prompt, courteous refund.
